This blog in 2012

January 1, 2013

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This blog had 34,000 views in 2012. If each view were a film, this blog would power 8 Film Festivals

Darn! I needed 14 more comments to get Top Commenter. Bummer. =(

Also, was House Tour technically in 2010? I feel like that was just a few months ago, because I’d have thought that was the most viewed blog post, but this insisted it was the Wood Pallet Post (or Palette, however you want to spell it, oh Interweb surfers).

Good year! Also, looks like you managed nearly 150 posts in a year, which is 6 months worth of daily blogging! =D That’s really good, especially considering that this in on top of holding down Day Jobs and doing a massive move across country. Well done, and best of luck for the future.

Thank you so much, Athena! It is nice to look back at the end of the year and see what I accomplished, since I do consider myself a “lazy blogger” a lot of the time.
The Home Tour page is tricky since it is a page and not a post. The first home tour (the old apartment) was published in 2010, but I archived the content and updated the page with new photos and content in March or April.
The Wood Pallet divider continues to drive most of my traffic, thanks to its circulation on Pinterest!
