Final Reading List

I sure racked up the books over this trip! I mentioned them before but here they are in list format. Plus it looks more impressive in a list like this, haha!

Some of these I loved, some of  these… not so much. I brought the first three with me but I was done with them by the second week. Eventually I was pretty much reading whatever English books I could get my hands on. If you want more info on any of them, or to find out what I thought, just let me know and I’ll be happy to discuss ’em :)

Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer
A Spot of Bother by Mark Haddon
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by  John Berendt
Harvesting the Heart by Jodi Picoult
Bluebeard by Kurt Vonnegut
Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy

  1. I am glad you listed Kurt Vonnegut. I recently read a little about his experiences in WW2. A bit intriguing…

I’ve been meaning to add his stuff to our library. He a favorite of yours?

    1. I have read two of his books so far, Cat’s Cradle and Bluebeard. Cat’s Cradle took me much longer to finish than I expected and it was a little dark and sarcastic. I enjoyed Bluebeard immensely–it was a little sarcastic, with funny and poignant moments. I haven’t tackled either of his super-popular books (Slaughterhouse-5 or Breakfast of Champions) yet but they’re on my “to-read” list.

      1. Right – Slaughterhouse 5 is one that definitely rings a bell.

Thanks for the quick note/feedback. I think I may need to drop a few books in my amazon cart asap. :)
