I know, I know. Nobody likes to read the struggles of a frustrated blogger. But “they” say that if you don’t post on your blog regularly people will think you fell off the face of the planet!

And we wouldn’t want that now, since I certainly haven’t!

I’ts true that I really have been phoning in the posts lately, or not posting at all, and it’s because I have just been doing computer-related stuff that doesn’t really lend itself to blathering on about. (Which I realize I’m doing now…) The thing is, sometime, between now and January I’m going to move my blog onto my own server, which is really just mumbo jumbo for I’m going to be crabby and new content will be sparse, but that certainly doesn’t mean I’m not working on this here ole blog behind the scenes! Because I love my blog and I want to continue making it live up to its potential.

In other news, I have been crazy busy with work, both retail and manuscript preparation. Which I haven’t really shared about at all but I promise I will in due time. It’s actually very cool and I don’t want to lump such a cool thing in with this silly, meandering brain dump of a post.

So, here’s the deal, I’m around, and I’m working three jobs (two that pay, the other one is this here blog which I’m trying to treat like a job) and… what else…  Christmas is coming! Yay!

It is so hard to believe that it’s Thanksgiving already! Didn’t Halloween just happen?

I am thankful for everyone who has supported my blog this year by commenting, sharing posts, or just reading regularly! I really appreciate it and it helps motivate me to keep coming up with original content.

Doug and I are also really thankful for anyone who supported us leading up to, during, and since our big move from Kansas to California. We couldn’t have done it without all of our helpers!

Okay, everyone. Hang on to your hats.

I’ve had this idea in mind for a long, long, time but have been too nervous to do anything about it… what if I announce this and get no response from it?  Now, I am throwing caution (and my ego) to the wind and just going for it.

It’s no secret that I love home design. Sometimes it seems like it’s all I think about. Now, I know other people might not feel like they have “the eye” or a natural inclination for this, and for this reason, I would love to step in, offer an awkward handshake, and ask if they want my help. This announcement is me doing just that. The “design services” page has been ready to go up for a few months now, but I haven’t known how to go about it. Do I sneak it up into the header and hope people notice? Or do I do something else with more fanfare for a grand announcement?

Well, as you can see, I settled for a middle of the road option. A somewhat nervous introductory post. Which is just, “me.” No use pretending to be anyone else, right?
